Tests scrapped for 14-year-olds

Or rather SATs (those pesky externally marked standardised tests) have been scrapped for 14 year olds (that's young people going into year 11). The BBC as ever has the info. Practically, this may not mean much, as young people will almost certainly still be tested in some way in Maths and Science to decide which set they are going into for their GCSE classes. Still, probably A Good Thing.
